I started this peer-reviewed, quarterly academic journal in 1999 as an online publication, but it is now published (in print and online) by Routledge. Safundi specializes in exploring the comparative and transnational links between the United States and South Africa, although other regions and countries of interest to our readers are included.

The Xhosa Cattle-Killing
This website displays some of the materials I collected while a visiting researcher at the University of Cape Town in 2006-2007. It is an extension of my Master's thesis, which focuses on one of the most intriguing historical episodes in South African history.

Historians of Africa
This group on Facebook was started by my friend and fellow doctoral student, Henry Trotter, to create an online community for other graduate students and educators of the history of Africa. Henry, by the way, has a new book out, Sugar Girls & Seamen: A Journey into the World of Dockside Prostitution in South Africa, published by Jacana Press.
